I'm on MC again. Had to head down to NUH, which is so freaking far for my medical appointment. Zzz. I'm so bored cos everyone else is either studying or working. So I've decided to come up with a list of random things that have happened since I started work.
- An insurance guy thought I was 25 because of my blazer suit.
- My boss tried to hook me up with a 40 year old dude.
- I was mistaken for a primary school teacher twice.
- I don't miss school.
- I spend less time with my favourite boy - Scooby.
All right. I'm just bored, ok? I miss Scooby. Oh wait, he's just beside me. Lol.

For the past week or so, I've been very engrossed in this book - Marley and me.

It's a true story about a dog and his owner. When reading about the funny things the dog did, I thought about my precious Scooby and imagined him doing it. They did similar things too. Like stealing food and rummaging the dustbin.
The dog was very loyal, following the owner around most of the times. Just like how Scooby would follow me around the house.
In his later years, the dog fell critically ill and the owner was asked to make a decision. A surgery that he might not make through since he was old, or to put him to sleep which would ease his pains.
I can't imagine myself making that kind of decision. As I was reading the book, Scooby was lying by my side. When I read to the parts when the dog was old and the owner pained him to see his dog in that state, I started crying. When the owner was asked to make that decision, I cried. When the dog finally passed on to Doggie Heaven, I cried.
I can understand how that owner feels. As I was telling Scooby yesterday, I don't ever want to leave him. How I wish he will be immortal. That way, we can always be together.
My eyes are freaking swollen now from all that crying yesterday. How dumb. Crying over a book.

I've been wearing heels almost everyday for more than a month now. I'm so 'trained' in wearing them that I think I can run in them. My feet doesn't ache that much anymore, unless it's a new pair. Or when worn for long hours. Which equals to shopping after work. My feet are DYING when I go shopping after work. Urgh.
I've counted and since the start of attachment, I've bought 5 pairs of heels. And 1 of them is broken and thrown away. Gawd. My storeroom is overflowing with shoes. Heck. A girl can never get enough of shoes. One of the MUST have items in my bag nowadays is a packet of plasters. It's almost as important as my MP3.
Sidetracking from shoes, if you peeps have been talking to me recently, you would have heard me talking about Joakim. Yes, that dude from S'pore Idol. Well, I took a photo with him when I bumped into him on the streets. He was shopping with the other idols when I approached him. He's so much cuter in real life. And friendly and tall.
I was wearing heels and he was at least half a head taller than me. Freaking tall ain't he? Everytime I open my phone, I see the pic we took together. And because we stood so close to each other and ahem (I won't announce it here, ask me if you wish), everyone who saw it commented that we look like a couple. Lol.
Okay back to shoes. I have no idea what else to say. I'm just typing this cos I'm waiting for my hair to dry. Scooby's just being lazy, lying on my lap and dozing off. Oh well, toodles love!

It's been such a fun week, although I've been working all week. Well, work is fun. Especially when you have funny and crazy colleagues like mine. You can never frown with them around. I can't imagine my last day at work and back to school again. Although I won't really miss the office attire. It makes me look 20+. AHH!
The boss has requested that I return to the office for a day or two next week to tie up some of the stuff that she has asked me to do. I haven't stepped into the office in 4 days and counting. It's been external audit all the way. Woohoo! I'm just not the person you would find sitting at the desk, staring at the computer all day. It bores me.
I've officially been chased out of the house for the weekend. My sis is throwing her 21st birthday party and has requested that we leave the house to her. Which means, I've been chased out. Imagine poor me packing my stuff for the weekend, along with Scooby's stuff and acting pathetic. Haa. I'll be staying over at Mellie's place and yes, Scooby's coming along.
When I'm not around, he refuses to eat. He will bark till he's tired and continue after some rest. He won't sleep and just lie near the door, awaiting my arrival. Tell me, how can I possibly go for a sleepover when I knows that my poor doggie is waiting for me? Of course I have to bring him along :P

I'm 19th! Yay me!
On the eve, I met up with my barbies for our traditional birthday dinner. We were supposed to have it at New York New York but thanks to the lousy service, we ended up at Spageddies. Anyhoo, we enjoyed ourselves although there were some hiccups along the way. Thanks girlies for the wallet, bear and cake. The presents are SO me. Haa.

My big day started off badly. I don't wanna talk about it but I started crying. In my room and in the shower. Scooby cheered me up and tadah.. the cheerful me again. Met up with Mellie for dinner at Coffee Club. Was supposed to catch a movie with Mellie but the timing was odd. I so wanna catch You, me and Dupree. Haa. I love Owen Wilson!

Anyway, thanks to all the people who wished me happy birthday. Like my barbies, Ginni, Mellie, Yanting, Jiawei, Sally, Lewis, Jeffery and a whole load of others that I can't remember at the moment. You know who you are. Love you guys!

Work work work. It's just so fun. Yes I'm probably mad. I've sorta became my boss's secretary. She's been asking me to do all her stuff like carrying yummy mooncakes and some of her work. I've been doing all her stuff that I don't even have time for what the others asked me to do. She also said I'm sweet and cute. LOL. What a thing to say to your intern.
Scooby is so cute. According to my mom, he ran to the toliet to do his stuff today. I didn't even know he knows the way to the toliet. I thought he only knows how to go to the newspaper. AHH. I love him. When he looks at me with those puppy eyes, my heart melts instantly. When he licks me, I feel so loved. When I wake up and see him, watching him stretch and yawn, I feel like everything is perfect. When he does silly things, I laugh and tickle him.
I heard this poem on the radio and I think it makes so much sense. Please be a responsible pet owner. Just like me. :P
Pets are fun when they are young and cute
Play with them and a bond is built
They care for you with no strings attached
Will you be there when they need you?
You can choose any pet with ease
But you can't shelve them as you please

I'm loving work. You won't hear that from me often I promise. But I really do. My collegues are the nicest people on earth. They treat me like their daughter, treating me to food all the time, teaching me things that I don't know and they are always there to help me whenever I reach an obstacle.
My boss bought Goodwood Park hotel mooncakes today. GAWD. They are heavenly. The Ritz Carlton one is not bad too. But I like the durian one better. They are so addictive that I can't help walking to pantry all the time. Haa.
All right. This notice is a reminder to all my dear barbies:
Date: 6 October 2006
Time: Anytime after work
Venue: CityLink Mall - New York New York
Occasion: My birthday!
